Conversion accuracy
These tools handle standard Markdown syntax (headings, emphasis, lists, links, images, blockquotes, code blocks, and tables) reliably. Non-standard or platform-specific Markdown extensions — such as GitHub-flavored task list checkboxes or footnotes from a specific note-taking app — may not convert as expected, since they fall outside the base syntax these tools are built to parse. Always review your converted file before relying on it for something important.
The PDF tool specifically
PDF generation uses a lightweight, dependency-light PDF engine chosen so this site can run on ordinary shared hosting without Composer. It handles standard document structure (headings, paragraphs, lists, links, code) well; very complex or unusual table layouts may render more simply than they would in a full browser engine.
The RTF tool specifically
Rich Text Format is an older, simpler standard than modern .docx files. It does not support embedded images or advanced table styling. For documents built from headings, paragraphs, and lists, this rarely matters in practice.
The Google Docs tool specifically
This tool produces an HTML file for you to import into Google Docs yourself — it does not create a Google Doc directly, and it never requests access to your Google account.
