What this tool actually does

Your Markdown is parsed with safe mode switched on, so raw HTML and script tags in the source are stripped rather than passed through — useful if you're converting Markdown from somewhere you don't fully control. Headings, bold and italic text, links, images, lists, blockquotes, code blocks, and tables are all supported. The output is plain HTML with no inline styling, so it's easy to drop into an existing page or CMS.

Honest limitations

Some Markdown extensions (footnotes, custom containers, task-list checkboxes with special syntax from specific platforms like GitHub) aren't part of the base specification this tool follows, so unusual syntax may render as plain text instead of the intended element. If that happens, check the source Markdown for non-standard syntax first.
