Why this tool works this way

A genuine "convert straight into my Google account" tool would need to ask for access to your Google Drive — a real security and privacy trade-off for what is fundamentally a formatting task. Instead, this tool produces a clean HTML file, since Google Docs has native, reliable support for importing HTML and turning it into proper Doc formatting. You stay in control of your own Google account the whole time.

If you specifically want direct Drive integration

That's technically possible using the Google Drive API and OAuth 2.0, but it requires you (or your organization) to register an application in Google Cloud Console, request Drive scopes, and have each user explicitly grant access — a meaningfully bigger commitment than a file converter should ask of a visitor. If that's something you want built into a private or internal tool, that's a separate, deliberate project — not something this free public tool will ask you to set up.
